Nexus BB is a brand new data over power solution for industrial applications, and works across many different conductor profiles including; festoon, cable chain, slip ring, conductor rail, and cable reels. Nexus BB creates a secured hardwired PLi-Fi (Power Line-Fidelity) connection through any conductor providing ultimate reliability. The secure signal travels through two of the power conductors, eliminating the need for additional signal conductors.

Nexus BB can be used on new and existing systems to add a secure data communication layer, and does not require any networking expertise or special equipment. Nexus BB replaces Wi-Fi with PLi-Fi for mobile equipment communication, with the same minimal maintenance as a WiFi solution. Robin‘6 Fully Managed AGV/AMR Communication Device

Robin‘6 is the advanced all-in-one interface for secure data communication of mobile robot fleets.

Compared to existing solutions for wireless data communications it has been specifically designed for use with Automated Guided Vehicles (AGV) and Autonomous Mobile Robots (AMR). Robin‘6 reduces integration cost, lowers operation cost and enhances cyber security. It is based on the lates Wi-Fi 6 standard replacing dated Wi-Fi 4/5 equipment that is approaching end-of-life.

Designed for indoor applications ProfiDAT®compact is suitable for curved tracks as well as applications with switch points. Beside the double function of safe data transmission and protective earth conductor (PE), known from ProfiDAT®, an optical positioning system can be integrated to the slotted waveguide with the help of a positioning strip, offering even further savings of installation space as well as time.

ProfiDAT®

Additional information

ProfiDAT® is a contactless data transfer solution for communication between fixed and mobile control units from Conductix-Wampfler. ProfiDAT® makes it possible to achieve reliable transfer of mixed data (video, audio and real-time control) at very high data rates using Conductix-Wampfler slotted waveguide technology. Data can be safely transferred at rates up to 100 Mbit/s with average latency of only 3ms. The unique configuration of waveguide and mobile antennas results in a system with integrated shielding. This isolation means that ProfiDAT® is license free and can safely transfer data, even in the most challenging radio environments (e.g. shipping container terminals).

ProfiDAT® is excellently suited for integration into conductor rail systems because the waveguide profile has been engineered for dual use as the protective earth (PE) conductor rail. This results in a very compact complete system because an additional PE conductor rail is not required. The ProfiDAT® data transfer system can be combined with multiple available Conductix-Wampfler conductor rail systems.

Rotary Data Transmission

Fiber Optic Rotary Joint (FORJ) is a means to pass optical signals across a rotating joint.  In this way, the FORJ acts like an electrical slip ring, but with light signals. Light signals can pass through two parts that rotate relative to each other. Using Plastic Optical Fibers (POF) light is transmitted contactless over passive and independent channels. This means long life with no maintenance and without the potential problems that can affect  slip rings such as vibration, humidity, and magnetism.
